1. Which animals stay in the hotel?
Solitary bees, ladybirds, lacewings, butterflies and earwigs.

2. Location
Place the insect hotel in a sunny spot in the garden or on the balcony. Protect the insect hotel against rain and wind. Hang between 1 and 2 meters high.

3. Maintenance
The insect hotel does not need to be cleaned. For example, bees clean the bamboo stems themselves!

Do you still want to clean the base lightly? Then use only water and no cleaning agents. The smell of cleaning products deters insects. The same applies to paint or varnish.

4. Replace
Check the insect hotel after a few years. Is the hotel no longer visited? Then it's time to move or replace it.
