Product information

A special package for people who have damaged their lawn and do not know exactly which pest they are dealing with! With this lawn package you can simultaneously combat leatherjackets and grubs with two different types of nematodes: Steinernema carpocapsae (nematodes against leatherjackets) and Heterorhabditis bacteriophora (nematodes against grubs). Nematodes are microscopic worms that live in the soil. The tiny worms penetrate the insect larvae and secrete a bacterium that kills the insect.

1. Dosage
25 million Carpo and 50 million Phora are enough for 50 to 100 m² of lawn.

2. When to bet
The nematodes work best when the soil temperature is between 19 °C and 25 °C. The nematodes are ineffective at a soil temperature below 10 °C. Do not expose to direct sunlight: apply in the evening, morning or during cloudy weather. After application, it is important to keep the soil moist for another two weeks so that the nematodes do not dry out.

The nematodes are best used from mid-August to mid-September.

3. Shelf life
It is advisable to use the nematodes as soon as possible. Do you want to keep the nematodes longer? Then store the product in the refrigerator between 4ºC and 8ºC. The nematodes have a shelf life of 1 week after receipt, provided they are refrigerated. Do not store the water solution again.

4. Location
The nematodes can easily be applied to the lawn with a watering can or Nema Super Sprayer.

5. Repeat treatment
A one-time application does not guarantee that pest insects will be gone from the garden forever. Annual repeat treatments are therefore recommended. A pest that develops quickly may require multiple applications per season.

Under optimal conditions, the nematodes can kill a grub or leatherjacket within 1-2 days. In practice, the nematodes will have to find the larvae first. After 2-3 weeks there are fewer pest insects in the soil.

Phora and Carpo nematodes are widespread in the soil in Europe. Phora and Carpo are 100% organic products. The nematodes are not harmful to people, pets, bees, birds and earthworms.

For a lawn of 50 to 100 m²

Emelten eronder gekregen

Het is wel een paar seizoenen volhouden met aaltjes spuiten, maar dan heb je ook resultaat: bijna geen emelten meer te bekennen en alle planten leven nog!
